Malogradamente este \u00e9 muito provavelmente o seu melhor \u00e1lbum e ficar\u00e1 na hist\u00f3ria apenas como o seu \u00e1lbum p\u00f3stumo.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, este n\u00e3o \u00e9 o t\u00edpico \u00e1lbum p\u00f3stumo em que alguem, pr\u00f3ximo do m\u00fasico prematuramente desaparecido, re\u00fane um conjunto de m\u00fasicas perdidas em diversas grava\u00e7\u00f5es e publica um \u00e1lbum de homenagem. Este \u00abFrom a basement on the hill\u00bb \u00e9 verdadeiramente algo muito pr\u00f3ximo do 6\u00ba \u00e1lbum de Smith, j\u00e1 que, grande parte destes temas estavam prontos e iriam fazer parte do alinhamento, quando este decidiu dar o \u00faltimo passo.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elliott Smith<\/span> era um daqueles a quem temos que apelidar de g\u00e9nios da m\u00fasica, seres estranhos capazes de emocionar o mundo inteiro com as suas composi\u00e7\u00f5es, muitas vezes sombrias, cruas, mas carregadas de verdade. Elliott, juntamente com <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nick Drake<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Jeff Buckley<\/span> eram os tr\u00eas maiores representantes da nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o de songwriters e lamentavelmente todos tiveram o mesmo fim, prematuro e tr\u00e1gico.
