[Worth Listening to] Ricardo Reis Soares – Qualquer coisa

Natural de Braga e atualmente a viver em Lisboa, Ricardo Reis Soares encontrou cedo na música uma forma de se expressar. Começou no piano, ainda em criança, mas foi na guitarra que descobriu a companheira fiel para traduzir histórias e emoções. Passou pela Academia Valentim de Carvalho e aprofundou a sua formação jazzística no Hot Clube de Portugal, experiências que continuam a ecoar na sua forma de compor e interpretar.

Cantautor e compositor, Ricardo escreve a partir de uma escuta atenta do mundo: observa devagar, repara nos detalhes, transforma o quotidiano em narrativas poéticas. São as pequenas coisas do dia a dia que lhe servem de motor criativo, quase sempre filtradas pela sensibilidade com que olha para o que o rodeia.

O seu primeiro trabalho discográfico, o EP “contra tempo”, com produção de Miguel Marôco, chega a 28 de novembro. O registo reúne seis canções originais em português e funciona como uma carta de apresentação, revelando o modo como Ricardo transforma as vivências diárias em música. Inspirado por autores como José Saramago e Chico Buarque, o músico entrelaça poesia, cor e imagens numa escrita que oscila entre o íntimo e o universal. No som, cruza indie/pop com a tradição do singer-songwriter e um subtil toque jazzístico, reflexo da sua formação.

Entre as faixas do EP, destaca-se o single “Qualquer coisa”, o mais recente a ser partilhado. É uma canção sobre o amor: esse sentimento inevitável, que se infiltra nos gestos diários e se revela nos instantes mais subtis. A letra procura captar precisamente o momento em que o amor se faz sentir, transformando-o em música. O videoclipe com letra foi realizado por Vitor Martins, com assistência de produção de Margarida Soares, reforçando a ligação entre palavra cantada e imagem no processo criativo do artista.
