[Worth Listening to] Pond – Skyworks

Ao longo de mais de uma década, os Pond construíram uma discografia sólida na psicadelia moderna. Nascidos em Perth, na Austrália, e partilhando várias ligações com o universo dos Tame Impala, a banda liderada por Nick Allbrook sempre preferiu seguir um caminho próprio.

“Skyworks” tema que abre o novo álbum, “Terrestrials” mantem a linha da experimentação, apoiado no surrealismo e na capacidade da música para transformar o quotidiano em algo estranho e maravilhoso.

O título sugere imediatamente imagens de movimento e construção. Algo que está constantemente a ser criado e desfeito acima das nossas cabeças.

Ao longo de “Skyworks”, sente-se essa mistura entre deslumbramento e vertigem. A música avança como uma viagem através de paisagens em permanente transformação. Nada permanece estático durante muito tempo.

E talvez seja precisamente aí que a canção encontra a sua força. Passamos anos a imaginar futuros, a construir cenários e a procurar respostas para perguntas que ainda nem chegaram. Mas a vida raramente acontece da forma como a planeamos.

“Skyworks” parece recordar-nos que existe uma diferença entre aquilo que imaginamos e aquilo que a vida nos traz. Porque alguns dos momentos mais importantes da nossa história não nasceram de um plano perfeito. Nasceram quando tivemos coragem de entrar no desconhecido e descobrir quem éramos do outro lado.

No fundo, talvez a beleza esteja precisamente aí. Não nas certezas nem nos planos perfeitos, mas na coragem de continuar a avançar quando o horizonte permanece incompleto. Porque a vida raramente nos mostra o mapa inteiro. Revela apenas o suficiente para darmos o próximo passo.
