Os The Big Push nasceram nas ruas de Brighton e foi lá, no improviso e na proximidade com quem passava, que criaram uma legião de fãs. Era impossível não reparar neles, não só pela energia contagiante, mas pelo talento bruto, pelas harmonias afinadas, pelas versões ousadas de clássicos e pelo carisma de cada membro.

No centro dessa tempestade criativa estava Ren [Já destacado aqui]. Voz inconfundível, presença crua e um artista a caminhar para algo maior. Com uma intensidade rara, carregava nas letras e nas interpretações um peso que ia muito além da diversão do momento.

Depois dos The Big Push, Ren seguiu o seu próprio caminho e depois de muitos problemas está de volta mostrando o seu génio criativo e ecletismo, com discos que são como gritos de revolta e cura, misturando rap, rock, spoken word e uma honestidade que desconcerta.

Ainda assim, há qualquer coisa de mágico quando se volta atrás e se revê os The Big Push juntos, a tocar nas ruas.

Algo que parcialmente aconteceu recentemente, quando Ren se juntou a Romain Axisa para voltar “às ruas” e ao busking. Um recomeçar de algo?
